Last night I was talking with my wife about getting more people to pray, and how to do that. Naturally, we realized that many people are already praying at some time or another, for one thing or another. But we are talking about a city-unifying, concerted effort to bring the Kingdom of God to Gainesville in a more tangible way. Yes, I know that in some Biblical, theoretical way that the Kingdom of God is already here. But, Jesus must have meant that there should be some more tangible manifestation, such as what He meant when He said to pray, "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven." We should desire more disruptive evidence of God's Kingdom intruding upon a sinful world, if you will.
So, we are praying for people to join us in this endeavor. If you are already praying, yes, we are asking you to pray even more.
