About Operation Rolling Thunder

Operation Rolling Thunder is a mobilization strategy that empowers churches to harness the momentum from the National Day of Prayer (NDP) and the Global Day of Prayer (GDP) to launch 24/7/365 prayer in a cities, counties, regions and states.  Simultaneously, it gathers leaders to form 7 councils representing the 7 spheres of society within each geographic area so they can develop specific strategies to transform their specific territory through the power of prayer in Jesus name and the presentation of His gospel of the kingdom.   These 7 councils are called a Transformation Task Force.

The simple strategy is based on Psalm 18:6-14, Ephesians 4:16, Acts 15:16-17 and Nehemiah 2-4.  One congregation covers one day between NDP and GDP in Phase I.  Cooperating together we can do it quickly.  In Phase II the churches that participated in Phase I are asked to continue to taking that day each month all year.  All it takes is 31 churches working together on a monthly basis, each church taking responsibility for one each month to sustain 24/7 all year long.

The Transformation Task Force which is made up of kingdom minded strategic leaders who form 7 councils.  Each council represents the 7 spheres of society (religion, business, government, media/arts/entertainment, education, healthcare and family).  Proverbs 24:3-6 teach us there is wisdom in a multitude of council.  These councils meet to develop specific prayer targets for the 24/7 prayer and strategic action plans to transform their sphere through the gospel of the kingdom of Jesus Christ.  That canopy of prayer invites the Spirit of the Lord who is the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might into the presence of the leaders of that city or region.
